15:00-16:00 MARCO RADO
One Muscle for all 5 Elements
In our body we have a muscle that is connected to all 5 elements, that plays a major role in our emotional life. This muscle is connected to the sternum, the pericardium and the diaphragm. Balancing this muscle it’s a powerful somatic-emotional work: we can unlock long seeded emotional imbalances and “open our heart” to new positive attitude. Marco will show how to balance this very little known, but very important muscle.I have not really given my pelvic floor, or anyone else’s, much thought. However, recently, I’ve seen a lot of hype about it online. The first time I saw the word “muscles” at the end of the term “pelvic floor”, a light went off! As a Touch for Health Instructor/Consultant, I know about muscles! I am clear on the fact that one can’t test these muscles in the usual way, but I know how to test muscles of the eyes and ears using surrogates so…why not the pelvic floor???
16:00-17:00 DARCY LEWIS
Pelvic Floor Muscle: How to Balance Them Using Surrogate Muscles
I have not really given my pelvic floor, or anyone else’s, much thought. However, recently, I’ve seen a lot of hype about it online. The first time I saw the word “muscles” at the end of the term “pelvic floor”, a light went off! As a Touch for Health Instructor/Consultant, I know about muscles! 17:30-18:30 ROBERT FROST
Reactive Muscles
Reactivity is an important issue in the development of musculoskeletal deformities and various pains. The technique derived from Applied Kinesiology, such as Touch For Health has adopted it. Dr. Frost, an expert in back pain, presents in his lecture how reactivity testing and balancing can reduce and eliminate various back pain.
18:30-19:30 MATTHEW THIE
Palaces of Transformation: Selected TFH Acupoint Metaphors
In TFH we use a variety of actual acupuncture points, such as K27, or Switching points, Alarm Points, Acupressure Holding Points, and Luo Points. Each of these points may have various names from Chinese Medicine. Considering these names allows us to creatively consider the symbolic meanings when we use the points. This expands awareness and amplifies the benefits of balancing.
19:30-20:30 GAIL DENNISON & DON WETSEL
The Lifelong Gift of Vision
Paul and Gail Dennison will show how the act of reading can support or inhibit the development of visual skills. The Dennison’s will share some of their latest discoveries about the relationship of vision and movement to visual convergence, spatial awareness, and whole-body stability/mobility. As a group, we’ll explore how, at any age, we can use the Brain Gym(R), Vision Gym, or Movement Dynamics, to expand our spatial and proprioceptive awareness, enlivening our visual/kinaesthetic sphere.
