September – IASK Cup of Coffee with Heidi Johnson

7 September 2023 @ 9:00 - 10:00 CEST

Join us in this free event where Heidi Johnson will tell us about EMMETT Technique, which is a light touch Neuromuscular technique, and how she integrates it as corrections in Kinesiology treatments.

A bit about Heidi

Born and raised in KwaZulu Natal in South Africa, I grew up loving animals and the outdoors and what nature had to offer us as humans. My late Grandmother was Doctor of Homeopathy and Osteopathy. I loved her passion for holistic and complementary medicines, and as I grew older, I too found I had a love for these modalities and what they had to offer.

At home we live as much of a holistic life as possible in today’s world and have always turned to the alternate modalities for help or direction with regards to our health.

I started off with Equine Body work in 2009, alongside studying animal behavior. In 2017 I started my Kinesiology journey with Touch For Health and then continued on to study Neuro-training, Emotional Kinesiology and Equine Energy Medicine. I’ve used the BEMER blanket and TENs machine for the past 12 years and have seen the amazing results in both humans and animals. I’ve added Photonic Red-light therapy, to expand my “tools” and what I have to offer. In July 2019 my thirst for knowledge and skill saw me studying the EMMETT technique. In 2021 I started studying Homeopathy through The School of Homeopathy in the UK.

I am a registered member of the International Institute of Complementary Therapies (IICT) and the Association of Specialised Kinesiologists South Africa (ASKSA), International Equine Body Workers Association (IEBWA), EMMETT Technique Practitioner (Horse, Human & Dog) & Instructor/Tutor (Horse, Human & Dog) and International Association of Specialized Kinesiologists (IASK).

Owning and breeding our own horses on our farm in Drakensberg, South Africa, where we had an Appaloosa horse trail business, I was exposed to many injuries and illnesses in horses, as our horses were in large herds on the side of the mountain. Over the years we developed many of our own techniques and training methods and incorporated them with the many I had learnt from others. I treated our animals myself, unless it was a case that was beyond my capability.

Now living in Australia my aim is to both educate and  to help people and animals reach their optimal potential, whilst still been able to help others around the world via online and distance sessions and courses. I teach the EMMETT 4 Animals (Horse & Dog) courses in both Australia and South Africa, as well as the EMM Tech (human short course).
