Harmonizing QI Flow
This Kinesiology strand is based on the research and work of Japanese physician and respected researcher Yoshio Manaka. Ondrej Bursik wrote these courses over 12 years with the help of Acupuncturists trained in both Chinese and Japanese approaches to working with Qi flow and disharmony.
In 2021 the HCF Workshops have been improved, expanded and changed from HCF1 and HCF 2 into the following 3 workshops:
- HQF1 – Stem Branch and Open Point Theory
- HQF2 – Origins and Flow
- HQF3 – Flowing with Life
September 2025 HQF3 – Master the Flow of Qi
Unlock the Patterns of the 12 Channels for Deep Healing and Transformation.
HQF3 builds on the foundations laid in HQF1 and HQF2. After ensuring that Qi flows smoothly from its
original source, through the 3 Jiao, and that the 8 channels are balanced, we now turn our focus to
identifying and addressing patterns of disharmony in the 12 main channels.
Flowing with Life
This workshop helps you move from living a disconnected, ordinary life to one where you flow
authentically with life. To achieve this transformation:
- We connect to the Heart, our “Emperor,” with the Pericardium as its protector, ensuring any changes are safe.
- The Small Intestine facilitates communication with the world, while the San Jiao manages relationships
and external interactions. - Vitality and health come from the Kidneys and Bladder, giving us the energy to transform.
- The Stomach and Spleen nourish us, helping to process new thoughts and emotions.
- The Gall Bladder aids discernment, while the Liver fosters growth, new ideas, and adaptability.
- The Lungs provide life’s essence, and the Large Intestine helps us release old patterns, making room for new growth.
The key focus of HQF3 is understanding how all 12 channels interrelate. Unlike typical kinesiology courses that prioritize one channel, in HQF3 we map out imbalances in the 12 channels using alarm and Back Shu points. This allows us to explore why specific channels are coming up and the relationships between them. Imbalances rarely occur in isolation—understanding these connections is crucial for resolving patterns of stress.
Unique Approach to Channel Relationships
HQF3 introduces a comprehensive approach to understanding relationships between channels, including:
- Yuan-Luo connections
- Element balancing
- 3 continuous circuits, based on George Soulie de Morant’s work
- Opposite polarity in the 6-phase relationship (Osamu Honda’s research)
- 6-zone balancing (Dr. Zhang’s work)
- Yin/Yang imbalances and specific channel correction
You’ll also learn techniques for tonifying and sedation through proper use of Tie-Shien and pellets to
enhance energy flow.
Can You Take HQF3 Without HQF1 and HQF2?
While it’s best to have completed HQF1 and HQF2, you can still participate in HQF3. The course is similar to the old HCF2 with some updates, offering valuable knowledge whether you’re continuing or starting your journey.
