The 4-Quadrant Model of Social and Emotional Intelligence – A Brief Overview
Date: 5th March 2026
Time: 10-11am (CST Merida)
This one-hour introductory talk with Dra. Katha Jones provides an overview of the Four-Quadrant Model of Social and Emotional Intelligence, setting the foundation for the deeper exploration in a 3-hour workshop scheduled for 28 April, “Courageous Leadership During Uncertain Times: How Emotional Intelligence Boosts Mental & Emotional Resilience.”
The Four-Quadrant Model of Social and Emotional Intelligence is based on four core competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social (other) awareness, and relationship management. Together, these quadrants describe how individuals understand emotions in themselves and others and use that awareness to manage their behavior and relationships effectively. Katha Jones will present the Four-Quadrant Model, with a particular focus on how individuals manage their relationship with themselves in the context of running a private practice, college, or other organisations.
This promises to be a highly informative and engaging session, offering practical insights into emotional intelligence and leadership – please join us!
